Maria Menounos

Maria helped her mother with Stage 4 cancer of the brain. She discovered that she was suffering from severe health issues. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. She has told PEOPLE that she had been suffering from headaches, lightheadedness and nausea since February 2014. "My speech had gotten lost and I had difficulties comprehending the prompter". An MRI revealed Menounos had a golf-ball-size meningioma brain tumor which was pushing onto her facial nerves. Menounos set an appointment visit her neurosurgeon mother, Dr. Keith L. Black. The surgeon scheduled the surgery for June 8, Menounos 39th birthday. Menounos claims that Dr. Black said, "I am 98 percent convinced that this is a benign condition, but we'll never know until we are in there," Dr. Black managed to eliminate 99.9% of benign tumors with a complicated surgery that took seven hours. According to Dr. Black, there is the possibility of it coming back. This is my most reliable choice. Returning home from an eight-day stay in the hospital, Menounos is recovering and spending time with her mother, Litsa, whose latest MRI proves her cancer is solid. Maria Maria Maria
